Description: ♣ Responsible for leading and coordinating marketing and sales related activities of a team of professional engineers in Flat Products (Auto /Electrical Steel) to cater to the following industry segments (domestic and international) The role involves marketing to OEMs, and their Tier 2 vendors, as well as sourcing of steel.
Incumbent will assume profit-centre responsibility in course of time.
o Develop business strategy and convert it into action plans to achieve and exceed annual targets both in physical and financial terms
o Identify new opportunities for expansion of business by adding new customers, geographies and product lines.
o Compile medium term business plans, and annual and phased budgets, based on approved departmental strategy, and assign targets – revenue and profits - to managers and provide these with resources to achieve their targets
o Ensure that processing facilities carry optimal stocks, setting reorder levels in a manner to ensure no stock out / over stock positions.
o Compile production plans and dispatch schedules in consultation with managers of processing facilities, and ensuring that dispatch schedules are adhered to.
o Review and monitor inventory and receivables positions to ensure movement, and maintain ROCE at an acceptable level.
o Visit customers for building relationships , identifying new areas of partnerships, and improving customer satisfaction.
o Identify business risks, analysis of their impact, and implementation of risk mitigation strategies to minimize adverse impact of such risks on the profitability
o Train and educate team to enable them to achieve superior results and ensure career progression and job satisfaction
